I have several readers who raise chickens and love them like pets.
I also follow a blog that I really enjoy. It's written by Susan Branch and is just delightful.
So, when Susan posted a story that involved chickens and the woman who loved them very much, I had to share it here.

I don't have chickens though have had in the past. I can't say that any of them were considered pets, I guess I didn't realize the potential a chicken had to be a pet!
This is a true story that I hope you will enjoy. Oh....and I learned something too. Bullying is not a new thing, it existed in the early 1800's!!

ReplyDeleteWe had a pet rooster when I was in high school. The other chickens all died, and then it was just the last rooster. He slept in the dog house with our Border Collie and went out with my sister and I every day to feed the horses. He was quite a character!
