I'm painting my way back to being motivated. The new paint can kept staring at me and staring at me so I finally gave in.
Pretty sure it also had something to do with the green walls in my bedroom that are making me feel seasick!
My room used to be the nursery. It is the only room in the house that has been painted. All the other walls are contractor white, the basic and inexpensive paint used to 'finish' a new house.
Not sure why anyone would chose this color for a baby but they did.
Two of the walls are this emerald green color and the two opposing walls are a light mint green. It's just not for me!
Hard to tell but the color I am painting is not white. It's actually a soft pale whipped butter color. I like it. Looks good with my comforter and sheets which I will show you all at a later time when the room is done.
Ps....thanks to all my wonderful blogging friends who left me such great comments regarding my lack of motivation! You all are the best!!
A Different Kind of Finish ~

Painting is so therapeutic for me. I love turning on the cds...blasting them actually...getting into total grunge clothes and going to town. I don't even wear shoes. I like the new color. I think it's Ben Moore who has a good Mayonnaise color that's similar. Neutral, but not white. Can't wait to see the finished room!

Karen, this is my third attempt at leaving a comment. Blogger is acting up again I think... I love what you did with the color. Can't say that I cared much for that bright green either. Can't wait to see the redo of your bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you found your motivation in a paint can. Hugs. JB
You have found the thing that moves you...grass green!!!
ReplyDeleteThat may have been the problem to start with, the green was sucking the life outta you! Kidding, We've all been there...lookin' like I may be there today.
I like the new color and am amazed how it is covering the green so well. Keep up the good spirits and when you're through, I some painting and repairs here.
Look foward to seeing the whole picture.
